On a Mac? There is a native app now.

One Widget Countdown for macOS brings the desktop countdown back as a real Mac app — on your desktop or in Notification Center, in three sizes, kept current with the season calendar. It is the direct successor to the Dashboard widget below.

The classic desktop widget engines — Apple's Mac OS X Dashboard, Windows Vista/7 Gadgets, Google Desktop and Yahoo! Widgets — have all been discontinued by their vendors, so those versions are no longer maintained.

For the other platforms, get the iPhone and iPad app or the Android widget, or embed the website widget in your own site or blog — all are kept current with the latest season calendar.

If you are still running one of the old platforms, the original downloads below remain available.
